The SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Common Dependencies Pack is a unified package with a Java installer, containing over 160 frequently used dependency files produced by the BSC (BATT Squad Certification) Team, including texture and prop packs, as well as the BSC Essentials file. Chances are, if you're looking for a BSC dependency, it's probably in here.

The Version 9 update(s) of the BSC Common Dependencies will be a series of updates (before we move to version 10) mostly related to the BSC Essentials and the SimGoober related model packs. These updates will be noted by the next alphabetical letter in line and a note about the release date. Please keep an eye on the changelog.**

Version 9e update (April 2026)

• The BSC Essentials has received a complete rework from the bottom to the top. As a result the DAT file was completely torn apart and rebuilt. At first this was aiming to reduce the redundancy, bugs and the overall size of the file. Since a big chunk of the DAT file came from the sevaral different and often duplicate SimGoober query files, a massive reorganization and clean up had occured to address these issues, which made almost every single SimGoober model packs involved. In the case of the SG Queries the most common UI files and elements (like background or wealthification PNG images and LTEXT files) are being stored in the BSC Essentials, but the more unique custom queries which are related to certain buildings or projects are getting moved into their respective SG Models packs, where the original building model can be found now.
  However in the meantime certain 3rd party developments have happened in the community and after null45 released the Query Tool UI Extensions DLL for SimCity 4 (also available on GitHub) many-many of the custom queries have been updated to utilize these new features. This means that the BSC Essentials v2026a is now semi-dependent on this DLL mod. Certain features in the updated custom queries require this DLL mod to show results/values.
  One can still install the BSC Essentials without using the DLL mod (that includes the MAC users too), but the DLL mod based custom variable features (like growth stage, park-landmark-major rating effects and some other properites) will NOT show results for them, instead they will see a blank field or a placeholder text in the UI field for these properties.
• A new additional Maxis_Query_UI_Overrides_2026a.dat has been added. This will override the most common original maxis queries to utilize the new features of the Query Tool UI Extensions DLL for SimCity 4 mod. Bear in mind this is an optional file that can be found in the Maxis Original/Query Overrides/ folder, but this folder by default is not selected; users must select it manually upon installation if they wanted to install. 
• The brand new BSC MEGA Props CAL Vol02 dependency pack has been added to the compilation, which includes the remaining models (pre-2020) from Callagrafx, that were not included to the BSC MEGA Props CAL Vol01. This still will not include his models from 2020 which were made in Dark Nite (DN) and Maxis Nite (MN) versions.
• The BSC BATProps VDK Vol01 has been updated to Version 3 (v3) as a preparation for the restoration of some of his contents that used to be hosted on SC4Devotion LEX.
• As the commonunity wide restoration efforts are going along some older missing dependency files have been recovered and these were added to the BSC MEGA Props MISC Vol03 which has been updated to Version 4 (v4).
• The following SG Model Packs (25) have been updated to their next version. This happened due to the above mentioned  complete rework of the BSC Essentials. There have also been some new discoveries and recoveries of long lost or unknown models from SimGoober, that were restored in these packs and in a few cases some of the models were relocated between packs. This was a necessary step in support of the upcoming SimGoober Collections.

• The BSC MEGA Props RT Vol03 has been updated to Version 3 (v3). This is a special update as the former RT_BRT_SGCanalAvenueBridges.dat and the RT_SNM_SG_Canal_Police_Station.dat were removed from the BSC MEGA Props RT Vol03 v2 and were put into the BSC MEGA Props - Canals SimGoober Brick Style.dat. Now it has a size of 5.68 MB as of Version 3 (v3). 
• As part of the restoration efforts the BSC MEGA Props CARCH Vol02-Vol08 dependency packs have been REMOVED from this compilation (as of BSC Common Dependencies v9e) as with recent updates they have been moved into the SC4D LEX Legacy - Cerulean RCI and CAM Compilation.
  Bear in mind that the BSC MEGA Props CARCH Vol01 v3 dependency pack will remain in the BSC Common Dependencies and will NOT be removed.
• As part of the restoration efforts the BSC MEGA Props COBB Vol01-Vol05 dependency packs have been REMOVED from this compilation (as of BSC Common Dependencies v9e) as with recent updates they have been moved into the SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Cobb32118 CAMpatible Residental+ Lots.

It is highly recommended to run the cleanitol with the installer and remove any previous versions from your plugins.
In the ~Documents folder in the main ZIP in the Prop-Texture Catalogue Index and Cleanitol folder you will find the Cleanitol_BSC Common Dependencies Pack Version 9e.txt (and all the individual cleanitol files) and by using either the newer nos.17's SC4 Cleanitol or the older BSC Cleanitol tool you can search and remove old and outdated versions of these files.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

From Version 9b temporarily the Cleanitol_MASTER REMOVE LIST_BSC Common Dependencies Pack Version ##.txt has been removed until the LEX Restoration efforts will reach a more advanced state. The individual cleanitol files will be kept available in the meantime, so players have more control what they want to remove, and a new cleanitol script will be added which is aiming to remove the older file versions from previous Common Dependency installs with each updates. 

Always keep back-ups of your cities and plugins folders before you update from earlier versions or if you start using the BSC Common Dependencies for the first time and you already have old (pre-SC4Evermore) BSC Team related custom contents either from LEX or from other exchanges.

I shared a link there, where I temporarily made the last Project ZIPped LEX versions of the SG Commercials and Industrials available. The officially rehosted version however will get further updates, so those packs are not the final versions. ** As of 24.04.2026 the SimGoober Commercials and Industrials are available on SC4Evermore, the former temporary versions hosted on the google drive link will be removed.

Please note that this pack is expected to receive updates in the near future. Do not redistribute without asking first, mostly as doing so would complicate efforts to properly maintain, update, and provide technical support for the pack.

INSTALLATION

This package utilizes a Java-based installer (similar to the one used with the Network Addon Mod), and can also be opened and installed manually using 7-Zip or Keka.

To install it, you'll either need the Java Runtime Environment to run the installer--Adoptium's open-source edition is recommended--or a zip tool capable of opening the installer to allow manual installation. For Windows/Linux, use 7-zip, and for macOS, use Keka.

Once into the installer, after agreeing to the terms for the package, click to the Files tab to select which dependencies you wish to install (making no changes here will install everything). Then, click to the Location tab to set up an installation location (this should be the root of your My DocumentsSimCity 4Plugins folder). After this, click over to the Install tab, and click "Start installation" to begin the installation procedure. When installation is complete, the tab pop up a message indicating it, after which you are safe to close the installer.

It is highly recommended to run the cleanitol with the installer and remove any previous versions from your plugins.
Optionally in the ~Documents folder in the main ZIP you can find the all the individual cleanitol files and by using either the newer nos.17's SC4 Cleanitol or the older BSC Cleanitol tool you can search and remove old and outdated versions of these files.
