his SC4 Devotion LEX Legacy Pack features all 10 SideWalk (SW) mods created by the legendary custom content creator Gobias and their Sidewalk Compatible Interchangeable Lot Textures (SCILT) created by legendary custom content creator CycleDogg/CP, which had been available on the Lot Exchange (LEX) at SC4 Devotion. These  contents were released seperately in different packages, this compilation combines these.

After battling a number of technical issues, software incompatibility ultimately shuttered the LEX (at least in its familiar form from 2007 onward) in June 2023, and this package is designed to collect these dependencies in an easy-to-use form, allowing users to install them all in one go, or carefully select exactly which packs they wish to install.

The SideWalk Mods

This pack includes a variety of 10 custom HD Sidewalk Texture mods ranging from Cobblestone, Cement, Brick and Mortar sidewalks. The ~Documents folder includes screenshots of each of the ten sidewalks and the original readme file(s). Please review these images and install ONLY ONE of the enclosed Mod files to your plugins folder.

The pack also includes a plugin to replace the MAXIS plaza base and overlay textures. Use this plugin with ANY sidewalk texture to better blend the new sidewalk with lot bases.
Optional MAXIS Plaza Texture Replacements: Choose ONE of the following Mod Files.  Both contain the same set of textures. The "HD" version are just that - HD and display best in-game; however because they are not 128x128 pixels they do not display properly in the Lot Editor's "Add Base/Overlay" menus. If the user would like to utilize these textures in Lot Editor I have supplied a "Lot Editor"-friendly version as well: a 128x128 pixel version.

In the Installer these plaza replacement textures are NOT selected by-default. You need to select the option. The default selection will be the HD version of the textures. IF you want to use them as LOTting textures, then please install the "Lot Editor" version of the textures. 
This file utilizes a mix of base and overlay replacement textures to better blend any of the above sidewalk mods in with base textures of lots.  The textures in this plugin replace several of the standard MAXIS plaza textures.

HD Texture Mod: Requires DirectX Hardware Rendering Mode for Graphics. Will CTD with Software Rendering Mode and/or on macOS.

The SCILT options

This is a collection of lot textures intended to match the texture of your sidewalk mod. Note that for this version, the sidewalk mod is included (see above), meaning the sidewalk textures in your game will change to this texture. The lot textures should be useful on lots where the sidewalk texture needs to be extended onto the lot, or for paths, plazas, patios, etc.
The different versions are interchangeable, meaning if you remove one version from your plugins and replace it with another, the game will show the new SCILT textures on your lots in place of the old SCILT textures. 

Please note that this pack may receive updates in the near future. Do not redistribute without asking first, mostly as doing so would complicate efforts to properly maintain, update, and provide technical support for the pack.

Installation:

This package utilizes a Java-based installer (similar to the one used with the Network Addon Mod), and can also be opened and installed manually using 7-Zip or Keka.

To install it, you'll either need the Java Runtime Environment to run the installer--Adoptium's open-source edition is recommended--or a zip tool capable of opening the installer to allow manual installation. For Windows/Linux, use 7-zip, and for macOS, use Keka.

Once into the installer, after agreeing to the terms for the package, click to the Files tab to select which files you wish to install (making no changes here will install everything). To expand options, click the small "+" next to the name of the section.

In the installer, by-default the Sidewalk 19thC Cobble mod is selected.
Bear in mind you can ONLY have ONE sidewalk texture for each wealth level. Due the restrictions in the installer, if you chosed a sidewalk mod and wealth level, the belonging SCILT texture will be installed too, however you can manually de-select the SCILT texture if you do not wish to install it. Please note, that SCILT can be a dependency for 3rd party contents.

Then, click to the Location tab to set up an installation location (this should be the root of your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder). After this, click over to the Install tab, and click "Start installation" to begin the installation procedure. When installation is complete, the tab pop up a message indicating it, after which you are safe to close the installer.

To avoid conflicts, it is highly recommended to run one of the 3rd party cleanitol tools and remove any previous or outdated versions of these files from your plugins.
In the ~Documents folder in the main ZIP in the Prop-Texture Catalogue Index and Cleanitol/ folder you will find the Cleanitol_SC4D LEX Legacy - Gobias Sidewalk and SCILT Compilation V2.txt and by using either the newer nos.17's SC4 Cleanitol or the older BSC Cleanitol tool you can search and remove the old and outdated versions of these files. Again to avoid possible conflicts and glitches it is highly recommended to run either of these tools.

Dependencies:

This upload does NOT require any external dependencies, however the SCILT part can act as a dependency for 3rd party custom contents.
