SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC RippTide Parks and Plazas

Ripptide Avalon Park
King Arthur lies in peace and tranquillity amid English oaks. He is guarded by an eternal flame and the Lady of the Lake who holds Excalibur high for all to see. Guinevere waits at the entrance to the park, hoping that Arthur will rise and come to her again. This park was designed by BLS using BATs and props made by Ripptide. The poem in the query was written by hogmeister just after the tragic events in London on 7th July 2005. This is a reward that requires BSC Mansion - Uppark House and also that the city is 100 years or more old.
BSC Greek Bath Park Ripptide
Providing social and recreational activities was a basic responsibility for early Greek and Roman rulers. As a result, baths and adjacent gymnasiums were as ubiquitous in the old world as movie theatres and gas stations are now. In the Iliad, Homer often mentions the Greek's passion for bathing. This park was designed by BLS using BATs and props made by Ripptide.
BSC Murney Tower
The Murney Redoubt was built in 1846 on the shores of Lake Ontario as part of the defenses of Kingston. By 1890 it was regarded as obsolete by the militia and it was allowed to deteriorate. It was taken over in the early 1920s by the Kingston Historical Society and officially opened as a Museum in 1925. Now a National Historic Site, it is still run by the Kingston Historical Society, welcoming visitors each summer to explore this wonderful piece of Kingston heritage. Bloomfield cannon, carronades and domestic artifacts have been maintained to tell the story of soldiers and families who lived inside.
BSC Spean Bridge Commando Memorial
The world famous Commando Memorial stands proudly high above Spean Bridge. The three gigantic bronze figures stand proud in battledress, woolen caps and climbing boots looking across the Great Glen. The 17 foot high Memorial was designed by Scott Sutherland from Dundee College of Art in 1949, and unveiled by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in 1952. Hundreds of veteran Commandos make the annual pilgrimage to attend the Service of Remembrance and Wreath Laying held at the Memorial in November.
BSC U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial
The Marine Corps War Memorial stands as a symbol of this grateful Nation's esteem for the honored dead of the U.S. Marine Corps. While the statue depicts one of the most famous incidents of World War II, the memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in the defense of the United States since 1775.
The base of the memorial is made of rough Swedish granite. Burnished in gold on the granite are the names and dates of every principal Marine Corps engagement since the founding of the Corps, as well as the inscription: "In honor and in memory of the men of the United States Marine Corps who have given their lives to their country since November 10, 1775." Also inscribed on the base is the tribute of Fleet Adm. Chester W. Nimitz to the fighting men on Iwo Jima: "Uncommon Valor was a Common Virtue."
